Over the years I have noticed a trend in my blog: During late winter things feel a little wobbly. Alas, the time has come to admit it since the signs are all there: I am seasonally affected. Like a plant I need the sun.
My dentist said that I’m “very good at chewing”, which is a brand new category of complement. Thanks, I think?
Reader, have you heard of “Specification Driven Development”? I think it’s where you write the specifications for the developer and they build the thing for you, or something like that. Only instead of developers we now call them agents? Anyway, I wrote some specifications this week.
Did some more procurement activities this week. It’s fun.
Happy Lunar New Year. How did you celebrate?
Midweek, one thing led to another and I was made the last-minute honoured guest at another department’s dinner. We made short work of multiple mountains of chicken. The sanjikai was at my new local. My calendar did not survive this experience ~ I now have many new appointments which I’m not sure I can keep.
Had a very enjoyable trip into nostalgia on Friday.
Friday night was a tapestry of different communities and wards: Minato leaving drinks, Shibuya comedy club, Shinjuku snack bar. I got home on Saturday exhausted and questioning my life choices, but with a smile.
Comedy? We went to the Tokyo Comedy Bar to see Mohammed Magdi show off his passport. Great set, and having not heard much British comedy recently, I loved his dips into darker humour.
Ticked LOST bar off the list. It was alright. Decent cheese-board.
Why was I out so late? With illnesses flying around, my weekend plans were cancelled. Or rather, I had made some bigger plans but I cancelled them for some smaller plans so I could gain some language immersion. But this is an opportunity:
Star Trek Voyager: Across The Unknown dropped on my feed this week and I feel a lot of nostalgia for the show since I watched it as a kid. This new game promised to let me live it all first-hand. So I did, and finished the whole thing (soft-locks and all) getting the “good ending” first time. There are other creative endings, but, I got what everything I wanted. And I recommend it.
