Last week I wrote that I had accounted for my newfound free time, and yet this week ended up rather busy. Partly I was studying and building an app for studying.
I took Monday off, and Tuesday was a bank holiday, so this was a very short working week.
After class and lunch, I spent sunny Monday lazily running errands around town, before joining NH for yakitori dinner. Reader, it was awesome, and the service was something else ~ they ran at exactly 2x speed.
Tuesday brought rain, and after some running around, a really nice lunch catch-up. I spent the rest of the day fiddling around with some new synths I bought.
Oh yeah, I bought some semi-modular synths. More on that another time.
I spent a lot of time over the week noodling on my study app, and making it be an actual app, like, on my phone. I am really happy with the results.
Friday evening I bailed on dinner and had a meandering conversation, this time involving a whiteboard.
Saturday was an outing to the Kisarazu Port fireworks festival, starting with our group losing track of each other in Tokyo station, and ending up watching 14000 fireworks (no, really) including a few detonated underwater.
Sunday we went to the Ron Mueck exhibition at the Mori Art Museum, which was actually so great. His art is, well, hard to describe? Perhaps Uncanny? It struck me as an uncomfortable exhibition to work as an attendant because there are many glaring eyes and expressions looking at you. The movie was a bit long, but I enjoyed catching glimpses of the UK and hearing Radio 4 snippets of yore. Sunday was my favourite part of the aforementioned busy week.
